The Undertaker's 20 Best Matches Ever

8. Vs. Triple H (WrestleMania X-Seven)

Triple H The Undertaker WrestleMania 17 X-Seven

Perhaps due to a sensational Steve Austin vs. The Rock main event, the first WrestleMania battle between The Undertaker and Triple H has been overlooked. Judged on its own merits, 'Taker vs. Triple H was a superb return to the grandest stage in wrestling for Undertaker and by far his best 'Mania match ever at that point.

There was a genuine flutter of hearts when Triple H hit Undertaker with his sledgehammer mid-Last Ride. People in attendance believed that was the finish, and it would have been a convincing one. Continuing 'Taker's winning streak at WrestleMania was the plan though, even if WWE weren't as obsessed with that run as they would be in later years.

Watch this 'Mania X-Seven match instead of the re-run from 'Mania XXVII, because the latter was simply a slower version. It was also ever-so-slightly annoying to see WWE ignore their own history and pass that 2nd showdown off as the 'first ever' between 'Taker and 'The Game'.

Why is this match ignored so often?
