IMPACT WRESTLING. October 27th 2011 Opening video this week is a recap of James Storm winning the world title. And in the arena we kick off with the new champion himself coming to the ring with brand new music and entrance video. Storm shouts out his dad because he did this for him. And he remembers them watching Wrestlemania 3 together. Can he say that? Guess so. He also says he couldnt have done it without the fans. I dont wanna go back and watch, but a face says that every week on TNA right? Storm brings out Fortune, because he has something to say to them. AJ, Kaz and Roode join him in the ring. Storm says the song says Fortune Four but theyre about to change things, like theyve changed wrestling. Storm says he knows Roode got screwed at BFG. And so hes drunkenly come up with a great idea in a title match for Roode. They shake on it. SAMOA JOE is coming out now. To get involved in the World Title picture? TNA youre spoiling us. Joe says he used to be one of these guys fighting against the system keeping them down. He congratulates James on getting there. Joe finds it unusual that after all he said, he sees the same four scumbags well before he got the belt. He says he sees another Bischoff, another Immortal trying to keep it in the family. And judging by your background that shouldnt be too hard, hillbilly. Joe suggests instead of playing favourites he give him a title shot. Fans boo but you know Joe deserves a shot. Storm says in Joe he sees nothing but a dumb bitch. Storm says it is indeed a new day. Joe already had his opportunity and that window is closed. Storm calls him out saying he doesnt deserve to be front of the line. Joe says hes about to give a shot to someone who already failed miserably. And with that, here comes Sting. He rules that tonight were getting a number one contenders match between Joe and Roode to face Storm next week. Tonight! Jeff Hardy returns and faces Bully Ray. Gail Kim has her TNA return against Tara! Chris Daniels is backstage saying that he never said I Quit. He claims AJ doctored audio and did the audio equivalent of Photoshop. Soundtrack Pro or something? I dunno. He promises to take it to Bob Van Dam tonight. Christopher Daniels vs. Bob Van Dam You think if WWE had the rights to RVD ring name thats the name he wouldve chosen? RVD goes right into a short arm scissors, gets rolled up, reverses it back and rolls Daniels for two. Daniels shoulder block, RVD splits under, Daniels cartwheels over him, Rolls him up for two. AJ Styles joins commentary. Back in the ring RVD is hitting a standing moonsault. Daniels drop toe holds him into the bottom buckle. STO for two. RVD gets some shots in but Daniels drops him again and goes for the BME. RVD moves, gets up and manages a step through heel kick on Daniels. High Monkey Flip by RVD followed with a springboard kick. Rolling Thunder set up but Daniels slides out of the ring. RVD follows out with a Slingshot Cross Body. Rolls Daniels back in and goes up top. Daniels rolls away from the 5 Star. RVD baseball slides him into the rail. Places Daniels draped on the rail and gets on the apron. RVD dives off the apron with the twisting leg drop onto Daniels. Daniels crawls under the ring and finds his tool box. As they get up he rams it into RVD stomach and the ref calls for the DQ. He pulls out his screwdriver but before he can use it on RVD, Styles charges and chases him out of the Impact Zone. RVD wins by DQ by the way. Gail Kim comes out and is joined by Karen, Madison and the reluctant Traci Brooks. She gets mic time and shes had enough of the stupid Tweets asking her WHY. She says its none of our business and she doesnt owe anybody an explanation. She explains that her entire career all shes ever done is what she was told. TNA, then WWE, and it would have happened again if it wasnt for Karen Jarrett. Gail said its not about the company or the fans, its about HER. Gail can speak. I didnt know she had a voice. Shame on you WWE. Karen takes the mic and said since she promised itd pay off, Gail is getting a Knockouts Title match against Velvet Sky. She asks for fresh meat to showcase her talent. Gail Kim vs. Tara Gail gets the jump on her jumping through the ropes. Gail Kim all over her with strikes and takes the time to taunt her. After the break Gail Kim is still in control and spins into a tilt a whirl and locks Tara in arm bar. Tenay on commentary: Tara is being SCISSORED. Cant believe Tazz didnt even giggle. Tara reverses the scissor. Jump over neck breaker for two. Gail drops her throat first on the bottom rope. Gail picks her up. Falling boot to the side of the head is enough for the 3 count. Jeff Hardy says its official, hes back. I hadnt realised. He says tonight is a test to see if he can still wrestle. Elsewhere Bischoff and Flair brush off Robbie E because theyre talking about Bischoffs Son. I dunno if you wanna take Ric Flairs advice have you seen how his son wrestles? TV Title MatchEric Young vs. Robbie E (with Rob Terry) Whoever had that idea to have Rob Terry be a bouncer in front of a velvet rope for Robbies entrance deserves a promotion. Eric locks up with the ref to get a laugh first. Then the real match is on. E whips him into the corner but he flips out to the apron, slides in under E and gives him a belly to belly suplex. Goes for a move but Terry distracts. E Back drops him. Charges the corner but eats a boot. Eric rolls him up with a crucifix for 3! What was that three minutes? Terry smashes him in the back then holds him and lets E get some shots at him. Eric Young gets on the mic as they leave. He says that next week hes bringing Ronnie from Jersey Shore. And people CHEERED. Eff that. Kazarian comes up on Daniels and tells him the stuff with AJ has to stop. He invites Daniels out to his new place to talk to him friend to friend. Somewhere else backstage, Bully Ray tells Jeff Hardy that rehab is for quitters. Now we get a video of the bad calls young Bischoff made A YEAR AGO. Seriously they forgot about that storyline since Turning Point 2010. But at least they remembered to show it. Back in the arena, Eric Bischoff is coming to the ring. So he calls out Garrett, who does in fact come out. Eric says he hopes he didnt waste perfectly good semen for someone to let him down. Eric basically calls him an embarrassment. And a selfish little prick. Eric gives him half hour to apologise. I hate these segments that set up with an in ring bit then the pay off is also an in ring bit. I dont need mid show cliff hangers that I dont care about. Ric Flair backstage doesnt like how it went down and promises to go talk to the kid about respect! When we come back from the ads, Flair is telling young Bischoff to call him God. Flair talks nonsense to him which is supposed to help. But its Flair and it made no sense. He misses MEN. Garrett just stands there and takes this shit like a goon. And now we need Jeff Jarrett to the ring to speak. He says he knows Jeff Hardy doesnt remember Turning Point but why is that never in his video packages. Then he asks why dont they show the main event from Turning Point 2006? Because the no good son of a bitch didnt show up for it. Jeff Hardy hits the ring and gets into a brawl with Jarrett and security separate them. Tenay says its been happening for several weeks. Its been two. While this is going on, Bully Ray uses the distraction to jump Hardy from behind and make Earl ring the bell. Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy Bully takes it to Jeff until commercial and when we return Jeff is booting him into the corner. Whisper in the Wind connects. He goes for the Twist of Hate, but gets shoved off and booted. Twist of FATE its called again I guess now theyre forcing a face Hardy down our throats. NERVE HOLD! Exciting. Bully slams him. He goes to charge in the corner but Jeff gets boots up kind of. Leg Drop from Middle Rope. Bully goes for a splash but misses. Jeff with Twist of Fate after that. Swanton. Three Count. Post match Christy tries to interview Hardy but theyre interrupted by an attacking Jarrett. Bully decks him with a chain and Jarrett gets a table. Before they can destroy him, Mr Anderson runs out for a save. Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Roode - Number One Contenders Match Roode has new music too. Not sure they should have done that so soon. Its all strikes to begin with, and Roode explodes on Joe with a hard clothesline and a neck breaker. He goes for a Crossface but Joe rolls out of the ring. He pulls Roode out with him and chops him. Back in the ring, Joe with a SNAP slam gets him two. Atomic Drop and running Boot combo followed up with the Senton. Another two for Joe. Joe gets another atomic drop, but mocks Roode and ends up on the receiving end of a Spine Buster. They trade right hands. Roode bounces back with a forearm and a block buster on Joe. 2 For that. Joe picks him up and gives him a Death Valley Driver but its only good enough for a two. Joe goes for a leg submission, Roode kicks him off. Joe bounces back out of the corner into a Fishermans Suplex. 1, 2, 3! Bobby Roode is your new number one contender. Storm comes out and they stare each other down. But of course the World Title isnt the main event slot, this is TNA! Instead we get the rest of the Bischoff Saga from earlier on. He calls Garrett out to make his decision. Eric says he forgives him for getting caught up in the emotion. Garrett stalls a bit The audience shouting at him seems to be putting him off. Eric gets impatient. Garrett still doesnt do it. Eric slaps him, Garrett grabs him tempted to strike but Ric Flair now gets involved. He takes a mic. Flair roughs him up and tries to make him apologise. THE JACKET IS OFF. Ric is serious. He shoves Garrett who bounces back and decks Flair. Flair gets a shot in and Bischoff low blows his son. Flair gives him one for good measure. They beat him down and try and make him apologise. And thats how we go off the air. Two old guys satisfying their ego by beating down a young wrestler. This easily all could have been the one segment earlier on.
