Back from a short hiatus with this Impact recap and TONIGHT Sting has given us a World Heavyweight Title REMATCH to open the show!

TNA Impact Wrestling. 15th December 2012 Back from a short hiatus with this Impact recap and TONIGHT Sting has given us a World Heavyweight Title REMATCH to open the show! TNA World Title MatchFive Minute Overtime Rematch from Final ResolutionAJ Styles vs. Robert Roode (Champion) Is it just me or does everyone€™s entrance in TNA start with that tilted camera long shot? Here€™s our five minutes on the clock and Roode immediately tries to run down the clock by getting out of there. Styles follows him out and rolls him back in, covering him with a cross body. Hard whips and a back body drop. This match is ONE fall, not Iron Man like at the PPV. They exchange side headlocks and kick outs. AJ Rolls him up for two. We€™re at three minutes left and Roode wants a time out. Ref for some reason holds AJ back, allowing Roode to take out his leg. AJ fights right back and takes it to him in the corner. Roode ends up outside, and sweeps AJ€™s leg to drop him on the apron. He goes back in the ring and Roode goes right to the leg. AJ gets his nip up Hurricanrana then a beautiful backflip into a reverse DDT! Under a minute left and Roode gets his foot on the ropes to break the pin. AJ goes to grab him but takes a thumb in the eye as 25 seconds are left. Roode again goes to the outside to run the clock down again. AJ chases, slides to the floor and gets the Pele as Roode tries to get out of the ring. He completely misses a springboard 450, but it doesn€™t matter anyway because the clock runs out. Crowd chant for five MORE minutes. AJ wants it too, ref cant do anything he says. Well here comes Sting, maybe he€™ll do something. Wearing his horrible jacket, he gives us five more FIVE MORE MINUTES (Clap, Clap, ClapClapClap) Roode chop blocks AJ straight away then gets him in a single crab. Styles is locked in hard and doesn€™t look to be going anywhere. Styles taps, Roode retains. Wild Card Tag Team Tournament MatchHernandez and Robbie T (w Rosita & Sarita) vs. Steiner and Abyss Before they come out, Steiner is telling Abyss backstage that he is under orders from Bischoff to make it work. He wants to know if he€™s on the same page but Abyss doesn€™t answer. He does join him to the ring through. Hernan and Steiner in there and Scott chops and clotheslines him. Steiner places him up top and gives him a big back drop from up there. Robbie runs in and takes a suplex too. Clothesline and press up combo from Steiner. Crowd well behind Steiner again. He offers Abyss a tag, who ignores. Robbie clotheslines Scott. Robbie and Hernandez double team Scott for a while. Abyss makes a blind tag and double clotheslines both. Abyss choke slams Hernandez then it€™s a Black Hole Slam for Robbie T. Abyss points at Steiner and tags him in to finish Robbie off. Scott covers him. One, Two, Three. Abyss and Steiner advance. Steiner goes to leave but Abyss pulls him back in and raises his arm. Steiner is all like €œWhut?€ Kurt Angle is backstage saying he€™s had enough of Sting. And when we come back, hes strutting to the ring. Kurt tells him to come out. Sting obliges. Kurt tells him to shut up and listen. Angle isn€™t happy that Sting booked him in the match to lose his title. And hes not happy about Storm beating him at Final Resolution. Angle tells him he could take him down right now but he wont cause he just wants a rematch with Storm. Sting tells him instead its time to realise that Storm has beat him fair and square. How come when faces lose they get rematches (AJ) but when they win, they don€™t have to fight again (Storm)? Kurt says hes going to go to Storm€™s hometown and beat some people up and maybe then Storm will accept. Best of Three Series Anthony Niece (?) vs. Zema Ion I dunno Anthony didn€™t get an on screen name graphic. One of these two will face Aries at Genesis in a 4 way after winning best of three. Arm drags til Zema misses a leg drop and eats a boot in the face. Quick reversals and Tony gets a heel kick. He drops Zema then gets a nice springboard moonsault. Running back elbow followed up with a great running knee in the corner. Now its time for a dive. Anthony sprints and connects with a flip senton to the floor! And the crowd are louder than they have been all night. This is what TNA needs to promote to distance itself from WWE style. Zema fights back but Anthony rolls into a forearm on him. Zema then gets a HUGE delayed missile dropkick. In another great move, he gets a knee to the face, followed up with an extended boot to Anthony€™s chin. Zema had it won, but he lifts him up again. Then he hits him with a back drop into a knee to the face. He has it won AGAIN but pulls him up again. Slides him to the corner and goes up top. 450 Splash! One, Two, Three! Zema goes 1-0 up with a bit of a squash towards the end. The Jarretts are backstage unhappy about everything. Karen tells him that she is stepping down as the Jarrett who is leaving. Jeff says its going to be him. Zema Ion cuts a cocky heel turning promo about how pretty he is. €œIt€™s all about me, myself and ION€ Ric Flair peps up Gunner ahead of facing Jesse Neal and tells him to take him out and make an example of him. Jesse Neal vs. Gunner Gunner is all over him right away with a trip and stiff shots. Gunners intensity is fun to watch. I think they might have something in him. Gunner throws him to the outside. He shoves the ref and gets himself disqualified. Meanwhile Flair boots Neal in the balls then lifts the ringside mat just like they did last week on Garrett Bischoff. Gunner drops Neal on the concrete with a DDT and lays him out. Medical personnel hit the ring with Al Snow and check on Neal and take him away. Looks like he is done. Karen Jarrett is sucking up to Sting backstage. She looks around and says he CANT fire her, there€™s a HUNDRED guys who could take Jeff€™s place. Sting says they aren€™t going about this until he hears out Jeff as well. In the arena Jeff Hardy is joining us. He€™s all sore. Awwwww. He says creatures will become champions at Genesis and that 2012 will be the most memorable year of his career. But then he gets interrupted by Bully Ray. Bully says hes in an awfully good mood for someone who doesn€™t know who hes facing tonight. Then makes fun of him about Twitter. Ray tells him maybe if he had more of a life he€™d do something creative. Ray fills us in that he€™s facing HIM. Ray says he actually has to thank him. Thanks to Jeff messing up last year, Ray got to take his spot. Ray barges past him on the way out of the ring. Samoa Joe is backstage with Magnus telling him he doesn€™t care about him, he€™s the anchor attached to Joe€™s chance to win the Wild Card Tournament. Magnus tells him to back up and rants about not ever getting an opportunity. He doesn€™t care about friendship either. Wild Card Tag TournamentRobbie E and Doug Williams vs. Magnus and Samoa Joe Robbie E tries to get Doug to be the bouncer before the match but he wont do it. The two Brits, Doug and Magnus kick it off. They exchange reversals then Doug tags E. Magnus gives him the confusion clothesline, but Doug knees him from the apron. E stays on top of him until Magnus gets a back body. Doug goes for the corner German Suplex but its reversed and in comes Joe. He is all over Doug with a flying kick and a Senton followed with a snap suplex. E runs in and Joe walks away from his flying body press. Joe with a snap mare into an elbow from Magnus. Behind Joe, Doug has climbed to the top, Magnus pushes Joe out of the way and runs into Doug to take him down. Joe grabs Williams and drops him with the Muscle Buster! One, Two, Three! Decent short tag team match. Jeff Jarrett is with Sting now, sucking up too. He just wants Sting to be easy on her WHEN he fires her. Sting takes it on board. Eric Young is trying to be funny as usual, but unfortunately failing. His tag partner walks up and turns out to be ODB. D-Von is in the ring now and I cant believe they€™ve gone back to this storyline with his family. Do they just forget about stuff and then go €œOH SHIT, we forgot to end that story with D-Von€™s kids.€ Pope comes out with D-Vons kids. Devon tells him he€™d take a bullet to make sure they were safe. Devon understands Pope but tells him he wants to train them the way he wants. Devon tells them its over and its time to go home. Pope stops them and mocks the way Devon is training them by showing them old tapes. He says they€™re tired of living the boring style. Pope says he€™ll never be as fly as Pope. €œDon€™t walk away from me like your wife did you!€ Devon don€™t like it. €œThose boys should€™ve been my seed, but don€™t worry, me and your mom, we working on that.€ Devon jumps him, and his sons have to back him off. He hugs his sons and Pope comes up behind and boots him low. Devon€™s sons laugh it up and stand and watch wearing Pope sunglasses as he takes out their dad. Then they hold him up, Pope puts flour on his hand and gives Devon a back hand and a slap. The Jarretts meet up and lie to each other about what they talked to Sting about then they get summoned to the ring. Traci Brooks vs. Madison Rayne Despite that guy telling the Jarretts they were wanted NOW, theres actually a match. Traci sprints out of the ring and tackles Madison on the stage. Back to the ring, Traci clotheslines her in the corner. Madison then takes over and chokes her on the ropes and a neck breaker across the middle rope. Traci fights back with a jaw breaker, but soon after Madison gets her falling knee to the head. Traci kicks out. Madison kicks her in the head and then covers her again. That€™s enough for three. I mean it wasn€™t exactly a Randy Orton punt, but they€™re certainly selling it that way. Sting is with the Jarretts again and Sting wonders if they even watch the show. Sting brings up what they both actually said to him earlier on. They shout over each other for a short while until Sting sticks the footage on to show them. The Jarretts get into a big argument which involves a lot of loud annoying shouting that had me reaching for the volume control. There€™s arguing for entertainment and there€™s annoying. And this was annoying. Sting solves the problem by firing them BOTH. TA TA FOR NOW!! Jeff Hardy vs. Bully Ray Robert Roode comes out for some commentary. Jeff Hardy€™s entrance includes him giving the camera man a high five. Bully Ray strikes early and works the mid section. Bully locks him in the Tree of Woe and punches away at the gut. Hanging Suplex. Bear hug is on from Ray. Jeff fights out but takes a back body drop. Jeff comes back again when Ray misses a splash. Jeff blocks a Bully Bomb and gets the Twist of Fate. Ray kicks out! Ray recovers fast with a side walk slam but misses ANOTHER splash then takes ANOTHER Twist of Fate. This one is a three. Jeff points at Roode after the bell but Bully Ray grabs him. Roode runs to the ring and they double team Hardy. Ray grabs a table while Roode stomps on Jeff. Table is set up and Storm feeds Jeff to Ray, who power bombs him right through the table. Sting runs out and Roode gets in his face. Sting turns around to tell Ray where to go but Roode takes Sting down from behind. We go off the air with Roode and Ray getting a good look at what they€™ve done.
