Tommy Dreamer Returning In WWE Brand Split?
Is Raw or SmackDown ready to get Extreme?
With the brand split days away, WWE has been reaching out to a lot of veteran wrestlers about making a return to the company. We've seen rumors of Jimmy Wang Yang, Tajiri and Brian Kendrick all coming back.
According to The Wrestling Observer, we can now add Tommy Dreamer's name to that list.
There's no confirmation yet that Dreamer has signed a deal with WWE. The Observer noted that if he joined the company, he would be unable to run his House of Hardcore promotion while employed. HOH is a passion project of his, which usually draws a couple thousand fans to the shows. Is he willing to give that up, or at least put it on hold?
Dreamer has had an interesting post-ECW career, as he's had runs in WWE and TNA, and has spent time as an agent and backstage producer. We most recently saw him in WWE as part of The Dudley Boyz's feud against The Wyatt Family...which didn't go so well for the extreme wrestlers.
At 45-years-old, it's doubtful Dreamer's run as a wrestler on either brand would be for very long, but he would add a lot of experience to either Raw or SmackDown. We should know shortly if he's decided to come back once again.
