Ultimate Warrior Heart Attack Almost Identical To Eddie Guerrero's Death - Report

The Ultimate Warrior's heart attack was almost identical to the death of Eddie Guerrero, states Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. The respected pro-wrestling journalist goes on to affirm that the toxicology report will take 90 days, after which point we will find out the factors in Warrior's death, the state of Arizona does not have a confidentiality clause in these cases. "It's almost identical to Eddie Guerrero's death, it is going to end up being similar reasons, not necessarily, but it's the same heart condition as Eddie Guerreo had. So far it's identical. It's what you would expect." Meltzer stated. That last line, "It's what you would expect," is the most interesting piece of Meltzer's analysis. The comparisons to Eddie Guerrero are going to provoke debate again about the lifestyle of wrestling talent during the 80's and 90's eras. Guerrero died in 2005 while in Minnesota, where confidentiality exists. By Guerrero's own admission in his 'Cheating death, Stealing life' autobiography he had a history of steroid, painkiller and alcohol abuse. He died of an enlarged heart stemming from these issues, forcing WWE to bring their wellness policy in to the company. What has been made official about Warrior's death so far is that he succumbed to atherosclerotic and arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. It was a massive heart attack. The death investigation over the next 90 days will now try to identify how Warrior got to this point. Last night we witnessed the WWE locker room, headed by Vince McMahon, open Monday Night Raw on the main stage. The entire crew stood silent as the ring bell chimed ten times, a poignant tribute to the late and great Ultimate Warrior. We will bring more news on developments in the death investigation as they are reported.
