Adam Cole is one of the most sought-after free agents in wrestling at the moment.

His Ring Of Honor contract expired earlier this month, and after wrapping-up his last few shows with the company, the former Bullet Club member has attracted major interest from the world's biggest promotions.

Cole has been hotly-tipped to sign with WWE for a long time, but according to this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company are yet to offer a contract. This is reportedly down to a legal issue regarding tampering that has made WWE cautious of signing newly-released stars, which explains why they haven't pursued other former ROH wrestlers like Kyle O'Reilly and Donovan Dijak either.

Unlike the other two, Cole has not taken a plethora of independent bookings since leaving ROH. The assumption is that unless there's a major change, he'll still end up in WWE, and likely be pushed as a major star in NXT.

The report states that Impact Wrestling are also making a play for Cole, as they're currently in the market for fresh new talent. As things stand, however, 'The Panama City Playboy' remains a free agent.
