Update On AEW Talents Working Events During WWE WrestleMania XL Week

News on whether AEW stars can work events during the week of WWE WrestleMania XL.

With Tony Khan having previously said AEW would not run shows during the week of WWE WrestleMania, there's now word on what that means for AEW talent during that period - especially given how some have already been announced to work certain events across 'Mania Week.

Via PWInsider, AEW stars are fine to make signing appearances - such as at WrestleCon - across WrestleMania Week, but they're unable to take wrestling bookings unless it's for a promotion that AEW has an existing working relationship with. On that front, the AEW-friendly DDT and Stardom have shows running during that week.

Interestingly, AEW's Johnny TV - aka John Hennigan, aka John Morrison, aka Johnny Impact, aka Johnny Mundo, aka Johnny Elite, aka Johnny Nitro, aka Johnny Bloodsport - is due to work Josh Barnett's Bloodsport X, where he'll take on Barnett himself. AEW talent are no strangers to Bloodsport - Jon Moxley, in particular - but the promotion isn't one that typically has a working relationship, per se, with Tony Khan's company.

Of course, Ring of Honor is running its Supercard of Honor event on the Friday before WrestleMania XL, but that's been a tradition for ROH long before Tony Khan purchased the promotion. In fact, the first ROH Supercard of Honor took place back in 2006, and even before that, ROH was running shows during WrestleMania Weekend.
