After months of will-he-won't-he regarding AJ Styles' WWE contract situation, it's now looking increasingly likely that the Georgian will put pen to paper on a brand new deal.

According to a report from PWInsider, Styles is currently being advertised on promotional flyers for overseas events following WrestleMania. His current deal had been understood to run down at the end of April.

The advertising material suggests AJ will move on to a feud with perennial opponent Samoa Joe when his current beef with Randy Orton is done and dusted. The pair's animosity, dating back to their TNA days, was translated to SmackDown last year, with the two facing off at four of 2018's pay-per-views.

Several sources have told PWInsider that both WWE and Styles have reached an agreement on all the major points of his refreshed contract, though it's not known whether the dotted line has actually been signed at this point.

Style's ambiguous contract status had the industry on high alert, with his much-sought signature seen as a potentially huge boon for startups AEW.

We don't know the precise details of WWE's offer, but we can presume it fulfills the superstar's wish to work fewer dates as he enters the twilight of his career.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
