Update On CM Punk And Dominik Mysterio's Injuries

Both CM Punk and Dominik Mysterio have provided updates on their injuries.

'The Best in the World' is currently sidelined with a torn triceps that he suffered at this year's Royal Rumble. And while he did appear a few times on the road to, during, and on the Raw after WrestleMania 40, Punk still isn't fully fit to bump in-between the ropes... yet.

Showing up in Cincinnati following this week's edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the former WWE Champion addressed the live crowd and told them off-air that while his triceps was still "not 100%", he is still very much "on track." Punk would then go on to "promise" that he'd be back and competing with all the tough badasses backstage" soon.

That update would then be spoiled by an interrupting Chad Gable and the rest of the Alpha Academy.

Elsewhere, a number of updates regarding Dominik Mysterio's recent injury dropped on Friday, too.

Not too long after Dave Meltzer reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that The Judgment Day member would be undergoing Tommy John surgery on his elbow following a "freak accident" during a match with Andrade on April 15, Mysterio himself took to X to seemingly deny that he would be having any operation.

Tommy John surgery is an operation which repairs the ulnar collateral ligament, with the recovery time for baseball pitchers usually being around nine months. Though Meltzer added in that report that Dom-Dom's recovery would likely be a bit shorter as he isn't required to throw hard pitches.

It was said that the plan was still to keep Mysterio on television whilst he recovered, too. But according to the wrestler himself, he seemingly isn't actually going under the knife any time soon.
