Update On WWE Plans For Nia Jax In NXT

The Rock's cousin will debut soon and WWE has big plans for her.

During Saturday's WWE NXT Takeover Brooklyn event, a video package aired hyping up a new diva named Nia Jax. Apparently WWE has big plans for her because, according to the Wrestling Observer, WWE wants her to be the next Awesome Kong/Kharma. Jax's real name is Lina Fanene and she's the real life cousin of The Rock. She's also a former college basketball star (her incredible height is the thing you notice straight away about her) and one of the biggest divas WWE has ever signed to a deal. They signed her to a developmental deal this past May.
She has teamed up with up with Eva Marie at NXT live events. That's actually a good pairing because Eva is hated by WWE fans right now. If she's going to be a heel, why not give her a massive bodyguard that can team up with her once in a while? It's a good way to bring her along slowly. Last August, Nia was in a scary car accident with The Rock's mother. They were hit by a drunk driver and thankfully survived the accident without any major injuries. The Rock made a very emotional post about it on social media after it happened. https://instagram.com/p/rhhV7iIh0u/ She has already undergone a few name changes because she's been called Zada and Lina, but going forward it will be Nia Jax. She could make her television debut at the next NXT tapings in September. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpqsnaXEQfo
