Vickie Guerrero To Leave WWE Next Week

Excuse Me!

Vickie Guererro is to leave WWE next week, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. Her character has been featured on WWE television for the last nine years, hitting her zenith from 2007 to 2012 as a heel authority figure. She was undoubtedly one of the finest character performers WWE had, her trademark "excuse me!" line getting some of the loudest reactions of any given show. Her exit from WWE was long expected, she had wanted to leave after WrestleMania 30, but WWE managed to convince her to stay around for a departure angle. We witnessed this angle on the June 16th Raw. Vickie was left in charge of the show after Stephanie McMahon left due to sickness. This was an angle where Roman Reigns spiked Stephanie's drink and then convinced Guererro to enter him in the World Title qualifier Battle Royal. Part of this story was the degrading and unfunny scene in which Stephanie vomited all over Vickie. It's hardly the kind of send off Guerrero might have expected. It's pretty unbelievable that WWE kept her round for months after WrestleMania just so they could do an exit story where Stephanie McMahon is sick all over her. Reigns went on to win the battle royal which will probably lead to Guerrero being storyline fired next week on Raw. She will then leave the company to pursue other ventures. Meltzer had this to say on her exit, "I believe next week is Vickie€™s last week. This angle leads to her leaving. Even if it is another week, this thing ends with Vickie gone. She was meant to leave at WrestleMania but agreed to stay to do the departure angle."
