The video introduction to Sting's new WWE DVD has been released, courtesy of WrestlingDVDNews.com. The DVD and Blu Ray will be available on September 23rd and includes some of Sting's greatest bouts. The teaser video is sure to get fans excited for the release, with a voice-over declaring "He is arguably the singular face of WCW." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXjxXSzASCY The video demonstrates that the set will cover all of Sting's WCW career. There's footage from his more colourful early 90's run and the later crow gimmick that served him so well in the Sting vs NWO feud. The video also has comments from Sting himself, although it's unclear if this is a new interview. "I always liked the kids that had the face painted up" he says. Amazon describes the set as "a collection of matches and moments", there's no mention of any new interview or documentary portion. The matches that will be included are bouts against the likes of Vader, Cactus Jack, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. Given the superstardom of Sting's era and the quality of wrestlers he fought against, this set should be an absolute must buy for wrestling fans. What'll be even more exciting to see is if Sting debuts on WWE television to coincide with this release. Just two days before The Best Of Sting comes out, we have WWE's Night Of Champions. It would create maximum publicity and stronger sales for the DVD if Sting was to debut at around the same time.
