With Raw's ratings hitting a record low for the fourth time this year, WWE's boss has seemingly decided enough is enough: the show needs some genuine star power. In other words, it needs a McMahon.

And not just any second-rate, third-generation McMahon. With viewership in the proverbial lav, WWE announced via Twitter yesterday night that none other than Vince McMahon himself will grace next Monday night with his presence - to "shake things up" as it were. WWE's language is rarely chosen at random: could this wording hint at a premature 'Superstar Shake Up'?

Next week's show, taking place in Sacramento, CA's Golden 1 Center, can expect a ratings boost anyhow as the post-TLC fallout edition. But be assured: any spike in the number, no matter how minuscule, will likely be attributed to McMahon interest. And then you-know-who'll be back in no short order...

Vince's last televised appearance came as part of the SmackDown 1000 festivities back in October. He and children Shane and Steph interrupted R-Truth and Carmella's 'Dance Break', looking to cash in on a segment noted by Mixed Match Challenge metrics to be amongst the show's more popular.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
