WCPW: 9 Things You Need To Know About Noam Dar

8. He Grew Up In The Same Town As Drew Galloway

At the age of five Noam and his family moved to Ayr, Scotland. If that names sounds familiar to you, one can only assume this is because it is the 13th most populous settlement in Scotland! Well, that or it is also the hometown of arguably Scotland's biggest pro wrestling export, current TNA World Heavyweight Champion Drew Galloway (Drew McIntyre in WWE). It is also the hometown of Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro. What a town!

Galloway is eight years Dar's elder so the two didn't exactly grow up as best buds, but Dar does recall Drew making an appearance at his high school. It was a charity appearance and Galloway was to take on the school's computer teacher, a man that Dar describes as being 'pretty jacked'.

Galloway put the boots to him of course, and Dar was lucky enough to get a camera phone snap of his future rival.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read.
