WhatCulture.com Wants Wrestling Bloggers

2015 will be another massive year for WhatCulture WWE.

Do you crave the attention of one of the biggest WWE audiences on the internet? Have you got a voice you feel compelled to share on all major wrestling events? Have you got the experience and the skill to help build the online wrestling community with your own strong voice? Then you're exactly what we want. WhatCulture.com have an exciting opportunity for wrestling writes to come on board and have their own blog within the massively successful and popular WWE section of the site. We want to bring wrestling writers on board to lead their own blogs within the site, on any topic under the wrestling banner. We want columns with themes: if you're a massive fan of the Attitude Era and don't see enough focus on that, we want to hear from you. If you're a major player of WWE games past and present and want to write on that, we want to hear from you. If you have a specific love for the finances of wrestling, or the major mistakes, or just love endlessly pouring over Vince McMahon's explosive moments, we want to hear from you. We're happy to hear of any ideas you have, whether you've been published on WhatCulture before or not.

Who You Are

You already have a strong voice on all things wrestling related, and seek more creative freedom to write your own columns on the big breaking news, events and revelations from the worlds of WWE, TNA, WCW, ECW and beyond. You know how to build an audience - you've already done it, in fact - and have your own ideas about what will work for our audience and for new readers in 2015.

Who You Want To Be

You want to be one of THE voices on wrestling on the internet: to have your work in front of millions of readers a month and to have the freedom to write what you want, when you want in wrestling. You want to build a major audience for your own blog; to carve out your own community within the online wrestling world, and you want the support and strong foundation to build your reputation as a voice to be listened to.

Key Skills/Experience Required

Writing skills a must. Experience less so, but if you can't write, you won't be read. Awareness of building a blog, engaging an audience and choosing the right content to land with audiences. Knowledge of internet trends and social media. Encyclopaedic knowledge of all aspects of your chosen subject.

Role Duties

Writing frequently on your chosen subject within the wrestling community. Using social media to engage an audience and help build the profile of your blog. Working with the wrestling editorial team to identify content opportunities linked specifically to your blog. Bloggers will be paid £0.40 per 1000 views to all content on your site. Email editor@whatculture.com to express your interest.
