WWE: 10 Best Elimination Chamber Matches

It€™s been a pretty terrible couple of weeks for WWE, but something good is on the way, and I€™m not talking about Wrestlemania. I€™m talking about the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View, one of the more underrated Pay Per Views of the entire WWE schedule. Sandwiched between the two biggest shows of the year (Mania and the Royal Rumble), the Chamber doesn€™t seem to get a lot of love. But at the time of year when WWE€™s booking is at its strongest, we get great matches featuring (usually) six of the top superstars on each brand. So rather than dwell on the negative, I€™m going to channel my inner optimist and make myself feel better by counting down the 10 best Elimination Chamber matches of all time. There have been 16 total Chamber matches since the first one back in 2002, so six didn€™t make the cut. You won€™t see last year€™s Chamber match won by Jack Swagger (which ended up amounting to a whole pile of nothing), nor will you see any Chamber match that has Santino Marrella as one of its last two participants (so you€™re out, 2012 Smackdown Chamber). The Raw 2011 Chamber match barely misses the cut, because I had to look the result up as I completely forgot who was in it and who won (John Cena ended up beating CM Punk, John Morrison, Sheamus, R-Truth, and Randy Orton in case you care). The Raw Chamber match at No Way Out 2009 also misses the cut on principle, because the booking decision to allow Edge to €œreplace€ Kofi Kingston in the Chamber match because he beat him up on the way to the ring defies all types of logic. I€™ve also disqualified the Chamber match from New Year€™s Revolution 2006 because when you make the decision to have the two best workers in the match (Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle) the first two to be eliminated, and have Carlito and Chris Masters as two of the final three, there€™s a big problem. Finally, anybody who includes anything from ECW December to Dismember on any €œbest of€ list deserves to be drawn and quartered, so I€™m sorry, Extreme Elimination Chamber, you didn€™t make it to the party. Now that we€™ve gotten the dregs out of the way, let€™s take a look at the Top 10 Elimination Chamber matches of all time!
