WWE: 10 Controversial Wrestlers Who Belong In The WWE Hall of Fame
2. Randy Savage
How in the world is Randy Savage not in the WWE Hall of Fame? It makes no logical sense. Simply, Savage is one of the most recognizable, well known and popular wrestlers in history. He main-evented multiple WrestleManias, was one of the best workers of his era and became a pop culture icon during his lifetime. Yet he’s getting no love from the Hall. It’s very strange.
This odd exclusion is probably why the theory of a Savage/Stephanie McMahon affair has never died off. It seems that the reason he isn’t in would have to be because of something outlandish to have gone down. After all, Vince McMahon felt betrayed by Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash going to WCW. Yet he brought in all three of them in 2002. He welcomed back Sable after she tried to sue him for $110 million. But Savage never returned home after leaving WCW. You have to at least speculate that it was something very personal that went down between him and Vince. Hopefully some day, Savage will get let in, as there’s a dangerous lack of top-rope elbow drops in the Hall of Fame right now. Oooooo yeah!
