WWE: 5 Best PPV Matches Of 2013

Punk Vs Lesnar 2013 has been an incredible year for the WWE. The product is the best it's been in almost half a decade with intriguing long term storylines, well fleshed out characters, some incredibly talented new performers making their presence felt on the big stage (Take a bow, Shield members) and even existing talent re-asserting themselves and working hard to stay in the spotlight (Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler). Also, there has been a marked improvement in the quality of matches both on television and on PPV than previous years and this year has seen some simply fantastic encounters in the ring. In this post I bring to you the cream of the crop and what are in my opinion the 5 best PPV matches of this year. Methodology: I first listed out all the PPV events that have happened this year and then listed out the best matches from each of them which gave me a total of 15 matches. I then ranked the matches on the following criteria (Quality of Wrestling, Psychology and Storytelling, Creativity and Finish) and then finally arrived at the top 5 matches of this year. (This system of criteria and rankings is obviously very subjective and is based on my own opinions) Honorable Mentions: The following matches comprised the bottom 5 of my top 10 list and I felt the need to share them with you for your thoughts/comments. 6) CM Punk vs. Undertaker (WrestleMania 29) 7)Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian (Summerslam 2013) 8) Shield vs. Cena, Ryback and Sheamus (Elimination Chamber 2013) 9) Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler (Money in the Bank 2013) 10) John Cena vs. Mark Henry (Money in the Bank 2013) Now, lets move onto the matches that did make it to my top 5 list.
