The future of WWE is in development, and in the tag team division The Ascension has made it clear that they are going to headline the future of tag team wrestling. They have dominated and decimated every team theyve faced, and their intimidating presence and downright horrifying demeanor make even the strongest willed wrestlers weak in the knees. They have held the NXT Tag Team Championships over 244 days and counting, and Viktor and Konnor have made it clear that they dont intend on dropping the titles anytime soon. It looks like theres simply no competition for them in NXT, and eventually theyre going to have to head over to the main roster. When they do, plenty of managers and ring personnel are going to want to have these two on their side simply to avoid having to compete against them. Bray Wyatt is probably the closest WWE has to The Ascensions level of extreme, and his enigmatic words might be enough to get into their heads and convince them that they need to give their support to the inevitable growth of The Wyatt Family. Once upon a time, The Ascension was a stable itself that could have been as powerful as The Wyatts. But now reduced to a tag team, maybe Konnor and Vikor are hoping to merge The Ascension back into a stable and create an unstoppable gang of wrestlers capable of taking whatever they want in the professional wrestling industry. Of course, when two powerful groups merge, sometimes the war for control winds up being fought on the inside. The Ascension would be a great choice, but also a risky one for The Wyatt Family.
