WWE Announces GCS Qualifier For Revolution Pro Wrestling
Noam Dar to take on Josh Bodom for a tournament spot.
WWE announced Friday that England's Revolution Pro Wrestling will host a qualifying match for the upcoming Global Cruiserweight Series, and that the bout will pit Noam Dar against Josh Bodom.
The bout will take place at RevPro's "Live at the Cockpit 8" on May 1 at London's Cockpit.
Dar, who was previously announced for the GCS, is a 22-year-old with eight years of experience. A winner of PROGRESS Wrestling's 2014 World Cup tournament, Dar has competed for RevPro, PROGRESS, Preston City Wrestling, and Insane Championship Wrestling, among other British outfits. He's also wrestled for TNA and Global Force Wrestling.
Two-time RevPro British Cruiserweight Champion Bodom has been wrestling since 2011, though he has yet to make an impact outside of his native England. The cocky star is part of The Revolutionists stable and holds a victory over Prince Devitt (WWE's Finn Balor).
The bout joins previously announced qualifiers Drew Gulak versus Tracy Williams and TJP versus Fred Yehi (EVOLVE Wrestling, May 7) and Zack Sabre Jr. versus Flash Morgan Webster and Jack Gallagher versus Pete Dunne (PROGRESS Wrestling, April 24). Already confirmed for the tournament are Rich Swann, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Akira Tozawa, Ho Ho Lun, and Lince Dorado.
