WWE Battleground Latest - 7 Matches Announced

There were three matches after Raw, but there are seven now...

WWE.comWWE.comFollowing Monday's edition of Raw there were only three matches that were official for WWE's Battleground pay-per-view on July 20 in Tampa. After last night's Smackdown and Main Event tapings we can add four matches to the official lineup to make it seven. Here's what we knew officially after Raw. WWE World Heavyweight Title Fatal 4-Way:John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton vs. Kane. That's the clear main event. Nothing else on this card is really close to it in terms of its stature. WWE Intercontinental Title Battle Royal: Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam, Big E, Alberto Del Rio, Fandango, Sheamus, Cesaro, Damien Sandow, The Great Khali, Ryback, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. There are 13 names. The key addition is Sheamus, who is already the US Champion. He could add the IC Title to the US Title he already has. We don't know how many other people are going to be in it. Rusev vs. Jack Swagger. Zeb Colter made the challenge on Raw. It wasn't officially answered on Raw, but it's expected to take place. Here are the other four matches that were added at Tuesday's tapings. Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt. They've had this match brewing for the last two weeks after Jericho came back and was confronted by the Wyatt Family. He was attacked by Wyatt two weeks ago on Raw. There were reports that came out the next day that said they would have a match at SummerSlam. That's probably going to happen still, but they're having a match at Battleground too. It could be argued that it's the second biggest match on the show. WWE Tag Team Titles (2 out of 3 Falls):The Usos vs. Erick Rowan & Luke Harper. It's a rematch from Money in the Bank when The Usos won clean. Since Rowan & Harper won another non-title match over the champs they get another title shot. Since they're doing it again this could mean that WWE really will do the title change at Battleground. Having a 2/3 Falls match will differentiate it from all the matches they've done already. WWE Divas Title: AJ Lee vs. Paige. This is Paige's rematch after losing the Divas Title to Lee on Raw two weeks ago. It could lead to Paige going heel if she loses the match. It would be a surprise if Lee loses it so soon. Cameron vs. Naomi. The Funkadactyls broke up officially on Raw, so they're getting a PPV match out of it. Naomi is pretty good. Cameron is still below average. It could be bad, but maybe they'll surprise us too. Those are the seven matches WWE has set up at this point. There's a chance one or two more might be included or that one of these will be moved to the pre-show, but it looks like the card is pretty much complete. We will continue to update on if anything is added or changed regarding Battleground.
