Last week we learned Takeover was heading to Canada for Survivor Series weekend, and now comes word that Japan is getting their first live event from the brand this winter.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, NXT will take place from the Ediot Arena in Osaka, Japan. It will be also WWE's first time back in Osaka in over two years.

Triple H revealed the news on Twitter:

WWE's developmental league continues to grow at an impressive rate. Takeover was once again sold out this year at the Barclay Center, and in the eyes of most fans, they put on a far superior show than what the main roster delivered at SummerSlam.

With NXT landing in so many different countries and continents (New Zealand and Australia shows are also coming up soon), perhaps they will someday be seen as an equally viable third brand for the company.

While Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode are listed for the event, the real stars that night will be Hideo Itami, Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura who are all announced for the show.

Tickets for NXT's Japan debut go on sale Oct. 1.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
