WWE announced Friday that the NXT brand show scheduled for the Manchester Arena on June 6 has been officially cancelled out of respect for the victims of Monday's terrorist attack in the city.

Company representatives had previously stated they were working with Manchester authorities to determine the best course of action.

Wrestlers and representatives from NXT will still be in the city on June 6, but instead of performing, they will be visiting those affected by the attack. The company will also be making a donation to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

The Manchester show was meant to open a UK tour for the NXT brand, but the rest of the shows are still on the docket. The stars will perform June 7 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, and June 9-11 at the Download Festival in Derby. Manchester ticket holders will be given full refunds and will have the option of receiving free tickets to the Leeds event. WWE will return to Manchester for Raw and Smackdown on November 6 and 7.

The world was shocked on Monday by news of a bombing at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena. The attack claimed 22 lives and resulted in dozens of hospitalizations. Since Monday, anti-Muslim hate crimes have risen in the city.
