We're just a few days removed from Seth Rollins recapturing the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam - and it looks like we already know the identity of his first challenger come WWE's next PPV.

According to Dave Meltzer, speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Braun Strowman has been lined up to take on 'The Architect' at Clash of Champions on 15 September.

'The Monster Among Men' made his return to Raw on Monday night, as he rushed the ring to save his supposed next opponent from a multi-man beatdown at the hands of The OC. Consequently, Strowman and AJ Styles are now slated for a match over the latter's United States championship on next week's episode of the show.

How WWE reach the stated goal of Rollins vs. Strowman isn't yet clear, though they have just over a month to find a route.

Clash of Champions comes to Charlotte, NC's Spectrum Center on 15 September. No matches have been confirmed for the pay-per-view as yet, though the final of WWE's revived King of the Ring is scheduled to take place on the show.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
