WWE Confiscated Curtis Axel Signs At Raw

Axelmania certainly wasn't running wild in Minneapolis last night...

Curtis Axel didn't have a great time in his Minneapolis, MN hometown last night. One week after being turned on by Bo Dallas, Axel was out for revenge: he emerged to a hearty pop from the crowd and really stirred them up with a fiery pre-match promo, but that was the end of his good fortune. Bo defeated his fellow former Social Outcast in less than three minutes, and the hometown boy was left embarrassed.

But it gets worse. Axel Tweeted shortly after the show stating that several fan signs showing support for him had been confiscated by WWE security:-

Axel's Tweet came as a response to numerous fan reports:-

This isn't the first time WWE security have confiscated fan signs. In 2015, the company reportedly took a number of anti-Roman Reigns signs in Austin, Texas, and there are countless other examples of WWE snatching signs that disagree with their chosen narratives.

WWE have to exert some control over fan signs in the PG Era, particularly when it comes to profanity and other explicit material, but snatching Axel's signs is incredibly harsh. Axel barely gets an opportunity to shine on Raw as it is, and he's right to be upset by WWE putting a downer on his homecoming.
