WWE Crowns New Tag-Team Champions On SmackDown

Street Profits lose their Tag-Team Titles on the latest WWE SmackDown.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode are the new SmackDown Tag-Team Champions.

The heels beat now ex-champs The Street Profits in a fun match on Friday's episode, and their win ends the reign of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins at 88 days; that time frame only takes into account The Profits' run as SmackDown Champs. Remember, they swapped belts with New Day last October.

Ford and Dawkins had enjoyed 224 days as Raw Tag-Team Champions before that.

Basically, they've been chiefs of the tag ranks in WWE for a while, so this is a more noteworthy change than some might think. It's also a second title reign for Ziggler and Roode - they previously held the Raw belts between September-October 2019.

Dolph and Robert (don't call him Bobby) attacked The Profits after the match too. That suggests there's a quick rematch coming up at the 2021 Royal Rumble on 31 January, which makes sense. Both teams have been warring for a while now, and they've built up some good chemistry.

Are you happy that Ziggler and Roode are the new SmackDown Tag-Team Champs? Or, do you think WWE should've continued with The Street Profits?
