WWE: Daniel Bryan Doesn't Believe WWE Sees "Money" In Him

Earlier this week, WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan sat down with WGRD 97.9 radio in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he talked about his WWE career. The interview was conducted by Shaffee, who is a knowledgeable wrestling fan that spoke to Bryan about his wrestling past, his start in WWE and of course about what's happening in WWE right now. In the interview, Bryan speaks about a lot of things relating to his current run in WWE. There were definitely parts of the interview where Bryan was in character a lot, but part of his appeal is that he's a very real guy that isn't playing an over the top character either. Bryan spoke about how the "Yes" chant started after he won the World Title for the first time as a way to anger the fans because he had turned heel at that point. In the past he mentioned he got the idea from the chant from UFC fighter Diego Sanchez. The most interesting aspect of the interview is when Bryan made the following statements. "They never aspired to be where I am. I don't think they've ever looked at me and said, 'I see money in that guy.' Even with the loud fan reactions that I get, I feel like the company still doesn't see money in me." Are those statements coming from Daniel Bryan the character or Bryan Danielson the man? Only he knows that. Obviously those words fit what his character would say since he's opposing The Authority in the storyline and has been told he's not the "face of WWE" for many months now. There's a lot of validity in what he said too. Bryan is not being put in a position where fans can look at him as "the guy" at the very top of the roster. Perhaps that will change if he wins the Royal Rumble and WWE Championship at WrestleMania 30, but the expectation is that he won't be the guy in that spot. He spoke about how he goes out there to just do his best. He said he's not about the politics about the business and goes on to admit that it might be his downfall in WWE. That could be a true statement although his career is still ascending and it's not like he's in a bad position. It's just a case of perhaps he should be doing more. The interview is very interesting and presents a lot of insight into the man that is arguably the most popular performer in WWE right now. It's worth your time, so take 17 minutes out of your day to hear what Daniel Bryan really thinks about things in WWE right now... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5YIcMXFTs8
