WWE File For Intriguing New Trademark

Could affect future plans for trio of wrestlers.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE filed a rather interesting trademark this past week. The application, made on 18 June, requested the term "British Strong Style", citing use for "Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online services."

Prior to the trio joining WWE, the name 'British Strong Style' was used by the team of Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, and Trent Seven during their time in PROGRESS. With WWE having recently announced the creation of an NXT UK brand, it seems a realistic possibility the new trademark will relate to the three in some way.

Seven and Bate, collectively known as Mustache Mountain, captured the NXT Tag Team Titles from the Undisputed Era on the second night of tapings from London's Royal Albert Hall last Tuesday, only to drop them back again on the next NXT recording. Neither match has aired yet - though that didn't stop WWE previewing the second switch on their website.

Pete Dunne is the current WWE UK Champion, having bested Bate for the strap at NXT TakeOver: Chicago last May. One expects he, and the belt, will play a significant role in the company's new venture across the pond.
