WWE Hall Of Fame: Carlos Colon In; Scott Hall Likely

It was announced at Tuesday's Smackdown tapings that Carlos Colon will be the next inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame. Colon is the father of former WWE Superstar Carlito, current WWE Superstar Diego (formerly Primo) and uncle of Fernando (formerly Epico). It's expected that his two sons and his nephew will present him at the Hall of Fame ceremony. Will they be dressed as Los Matadores? Probably not. Carlos Colon is a Puerto Rican wrestling legend that had a very successful in-ring career wrestling all over the world and as a promoter for World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico. Even though he didn't wrestle that many matches in WWE (he was in the 1993 Royal Rumble), he made an impact in the wrestling world through his work in Puerto Rico and it's wonderful that WWE is choosing to acknowledge that at this year's Hall of Fame ceremony. Colon told El Nuevo Dia in Puerto Rico that he didn't expect the Hall of Fame invite to happen this year: "Imagine, it is the realization of a dream. To get there, it is the ultimate. As in other sports, like baseball and basketball, reaching the Hall of Fame is the biggest thing and it is finally happening for me." Congratulations to Carlos Colon and his family on this tremendous honor. Razor Ramon In other Hall of Fame news, Scott Hall's name has been mentioned as a possibility and it looks as though it's still going to happen. A report from F4WOnline notes that notes that Scott Hall is still on the list of this year's inductees following the announcement that Carlos Colon will be inducted. Assuming the Hall report is true, it will likely be announced on WWE TV as soon as Monday's Raw or next week on Smackdown. It's likely that his inductee will be a close friend like Kevin Nash or Sean Waltman (X-Pac) although that's not known at this time. With Ultimate Warrior, Jake Roberts, Lita, Paul Bearer, Carlos Colon and Scott Hall it's likely that this year's Hall of Fame class is full. It's a great group if it is.
