WWE House Show DISASTER In Puerto Rico

WWE live event experience falls short after Puerto Rican calamity.

WWE's live event loop took them to Puerto Rico this weekend - and it sounds like the event was an absolute mess.

Reddit users u/LonaDeOro posted their breakdown of the show on Saturday, alleging that only five of the nine announced matches went ahead, eight advertised wrestlers didn't show up, the event ran for just two hours but still had a 20-minute break, and Rey Mysterio asked children to chant "d*ck-sucker" at Baron Corbin.

This is just one account, of course, and shouldn't be taken as gospel, though as the poster points out, "all pages relating to the event and promoter have been deleted." That's telling.

Another Reddit user (u/DannyAcme) went into greater detail. They state that "half the audience was still waiting to walk in" at bell-time and that an advertised Mysterio vs. Corbin match was changed to a King's Court segment. On top of this, an AJ Styles vs. Braun Strowman bout was switched to a six-person tag, the crowd turned on a Raw Women's Title match when Becky Lynch's opponent was changed from Sasha Banks to Lacey Evans, and, to a cap this grim-sounding night, WWE did the red lights gimmick for a Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt main event that lasted only a few minutes.

With reports like this, perhaps it's no wonder that WWE's live event business is cratering.
