The Wrestling Observer reported in today's issue that WWE has "expressed interest" in signing current MLW star Jacob Fatu.

Dave Meltzer's report claims there may also be some interest from AEW, and it also noted that everyone plundering the indy scene can see the potential Fatu has to be a star of the future. For the record, Jacob is the son of former WWE star Tama/The Tonga Kid. His uncles Rikishi and Umaga were also big names in the company, and his cousins The Usos are currently one of the best tag-teams in the industry.

The Observer didn't go into much detail, but it appears Meltzer expects some sot of bidding war for Fatu in the coming months. Recently, Jacob has been appearing for MLW as part of the Contra Unit stable with tag partner Josef Samuel and former Vaudevillain Simon Gotch.

He has that classic Samoan look; although Jacob is 6' 2" tall and weighs close to 300lbs, he has great agility for his size and would be an asset to whichever promotion locks him down to a contract. This is definitely one to keep an eye on.
