WWE: John Cena's Feud With Bray Wyatt To Last Past Payback
The John Cena feud with Bray Wyatt started back in January when Wyatt interfered in Cena's WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Randy Orton. A new report from F4WOnline.com suggests that the feud is set to continue on for some time, perhaps even past the June 1 Payback pay-per-view. They've already had two major matches with Cena pinning Wyatt clean at WrestleMania 30 and then Wyatt winning by escaping the cage (in controversial fashion) at Extreme Rules. It would seem like a third and final match at the appropriately named Payback event would be the right thing to do, but instead they might continue. The events following Payback are a second June PPV Money in the Bank, then July's Battleground and SummerSlam in August follows that one. It would likely be difficult for them to stretch things out all the way to SummerSlam although if they put them in tag matches or other multi-person matches then perhaps they could do it. It would certainly be the longest feud of the year if it went that long. Even if it doesn't there are rarely feuds in WWE that get three PPV matches, much less four or five. It's a good thing to have Cena involved in a feud that doesn't involve the WWE Title. For the past ten years he's always been in the title picture it seems, so seeing him have a feud without the WWE Title is a refreshing change. Whether the feud is successful or not will be determined by where Wyatt's standing is after the feud. If he's considered a much bigger star whether he wins or loses the feud is all that really matters.
