Any man who has two hands has a chance...to be signed by WWE. James Ellsworth has had one of the great underdog tales in recent wrestling history, and his story looks to be continuing on for some time to come.

PWInsider has reported that there has been an "internal push" behind-the-scenes for the past couple weeks to offer him a full-time deal. Apparently management has been very impressed with his merchandise sales, with his t-shirt briefly being the most popular product on their website.

It would actually be a bit of a surprise if they didn't offer him some sort of contract at this point. His storyline with A.J. Styles had to continue on in some form, as he couldn't just disappear after going 2-0 against him. And there's already been rumors going around that he'll make an appearance in the upcoming Royal Rumble. WWE wants to take his surprise success and run with it while it's hot.

There's a lot left to do with the character, having Dean Ambrose turn heel on him would be a great route to go. But you could pretty easily see Ellsworth turning heel to join A.J. in some sort of bad comedy pairing.

No matter what he ends up doing, it's pretty inspirational that he's emerged out of nowhere at 31 years old to become one of the most talked about wrestlers of the year.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW.
