WWE Lining Up Surprise WrestleMania 40 Rematch?
Triple H might've cancelled one expected WrestleMania match and replaced it on SmackDown.
Dominik Mysterio interfered to cost his father Rey a big grudge match vs. Santos Escobar on this week's episode of SmackDown, and that has some fans wondering what WWE's angle is heading into WrestleMania 40. Will Dom Dom get involved in a multi-man scenario between LWO and Legado del Fantasma, or is something bigger brewing?
It'd be rather short notice considering 'Mania is in a few short weeks, but there's always a chance creative could line up another bout between daddy dearest and his snake son. A few folks on social media are even predicting that Rey and Dominik will work a 'Hair vs. Mask' match in Philadelphia.
If so, Triple H has left it rather late in the day to build towards that. The feud could be quickly reheated in time though - WWE would only have to re-air some old video packages between the pair, then have Dominik cut a promo or two vowing to take his father's prized possession away.
The more likely play is Dom teaming with members of del Fantasma vs. an LWO squad assembled by his dad.
