The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a number of former stars contacted over a return to WWE have decided against it. The financial offers being made are said to be nowhere near good enough.

According to the Observer one such name to have turned down return overtures is MVP. The two sides are still open to talks, but until WWE comes back with an offer that the former United States Champion deems respectable we are unlikely to see him back in WWE.

In the build up to the 2016 WWE Draft there were many rumours floating around that a plethora of former stars would be returning to bulk up the two rosters. So far Shelton Benjamin, Rhyno and Jinder Mahal have all made their comebacks with Curt Hawkins also slated to be back soon but the likes of Rey Mysterio, MVP and Carlito haven't.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
