WWE mid-carder’s JTG and Zack Ryder have taken to Twitter over the last couple of days to vent their frustrations at how their careers are being handled in McMahonland.
Talent have long utilised the social media outlet to further storylines, plant seeds for feuds and to interact with their fans. One of the most popular wrestling Tweeters is CM Punk (@CMPunk) who has even gone as far as to reveal spoilers for Monday Night RAW, including posting a photograph of Paul Heyman moments before his big return as part of the Brock Lesnar/Triple H feud.
Recently however certain wrestlers have begun to attack the company they work for, virtually career suicide for anyone working under WWE’s banner, especially for acts that are so far down the card.
On his account JTG (@JTG1284) began his rant by saying:
There are some who live in a fantasy, there are those who live in reality. Then there are some who turn one into the other.

He then went as far as to speak out about the atmosphere of fear that exists backstage in a WWE locker room
Nobody wants to speak up, everybodys afraid of losing their job or getting taken off TV

I’m pretty sure I’m the 2nd most followed person on @tout. In other news, I was in the 2nd match taped for @wwe Superstars this week. #huh?

It is unclear exactly why the sudden backlash has broke out but some sites are reporting that it may have something to do with the mid-card payoff following Wrestlemania. You see, wrestlers are guaranteed a PPV bonus when they appear and the higher the ratings the higher the bonus. It is believed this was not the case despite Wrestlemania 28 breaking several records. Of course, this could also be part of something bigger orchestrated by WWE themselves or even a plot by lower tier talents to get themselves a little attention in a world where only the fittest truly survive.
Either way we’ll be glued to Twitter over the next few days to see how this story develops.

Zack Ryder is better than what he’s getting at the moment. Whether you like his gimmick or not he’s a genuinely good wrestler who always gets a great reaction from the fans. WWE seem intent on pushing a handful of superstars when there are plenty of people on the roster who are capable of stepping up.
I agree. JTG on the other hand is probably a ‘Future Endeavoured’ waiting to happen.
JTG: midcarder? He should be so lucky!
i’ll agree on the fact that wwe should put at least some attention on their midcarders. but i am for one very happy with the “downfall of zack ryder”. not saying that he’s a bad wrestler, but come on people. his persona is no different from all the other disney characters produced in the pg era currently in the wwe. i mean, “seriously bro”, can you honestly picture this guy acting the way he acts now as a main eventer? open your eyes people, i bet the same people who always speak negative about cena, (rightfully so, from a wrestling standpoint), will say “zack ryder” is underrated. newsflash sheep, HE IS NO DIFFERENT FROM CENA. only more accepted. they both worry WAY to much about charisma and their damn image. wanna hear midcarders who should be pushed who aren’t being pushed, you know, those who actuality care about their ring performance rather than how many “followers” they have on twitter? mcintyre, hawkins, kidd, paige, barreta, the uso’s, natalya, tamina, and the list goes on. not ryder, and im surprise to see that jtg’s still here.
