WWE Money In The Bank 2015 Results

Who won the John Cena vs. Kevin Owens rematch?

WWE Money in the Bank took place on Sunday June 14th in Columbus, Ohio. Here are the results of all the matches and key moments from the show. During the Kickoff Show, R-Truth beat King Barrett. When the PPV began, a graphic was shown on the video saying "In Memory of Dusty Rhodes 1945-2015." The WWE roster stood on the stage while a ten bell salute was done in his honor. Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon stood in the front. Dusty's "Common Man" song played as everybody cheered for him. Sheamus won the Money in the Bank Contract Ladder match - The match also featured Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Kane, Neville, Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler. It was a 20 minute match where it looked like Reigns was going to retrieve the coveted briefcase, but the lights went out and Bray Wyatt showed up to take him down with his Sister Abigail finishing move. Sheamus climbed up the ladder, fought off Nevile and grabbed the briefcase to win Money in the Bank for the first time in his career. Nikki Bella d. Paige to retain the Divas Title - Nikki did the "twin magic" trick with her sister Brie, but Paige managed to pin Brie and it looked like Paige won the title. After the false pinfall, Brie showed the ref some tissues she had placed in her top and also pointed to her tattoos below her waist to tell the ref that it wasn't Nikki. That distraction led to Nikki hitting Paige with a forearm shot and Rack Attack for the win. Big Show d. Intercontinental Champion Ryback by disqualification - The Miz was on commentary, Ryback attacked him during the match and then Miz interfered to give Big Show the DQ win. It looks like there will be a three way IC Title feud. John Cena d. Kevin Owens - After many nearfalls for both men, Cena was finally able to put Owens away after hitting the Attitude Adjustment three times. Cena wanted a handshake post-match, Owens obliged and then kicked Cena out of the ring. Owens gave Cena a Powerbomb onto the side of the ring apron and walked away laughing while Cena had to be helped to the back by officials. It was the match of the night as well as one of the best matches this year. There was a video package that aired in tribute to Dusty Rhodes. It was really well done, as WWE's video tributes usually are. When it was over the fans were applauding and paid respect to the American Dream once again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npKZ-W5pUXE The Prime Time Players d. The New Day to win the Tag Team Titles - It was Big E and Xavier Woods for New Day since Kofi Kingston already had a match earlier in the show. The PTPers won clean after O'Neil got the hot tag and was able to pin Woods to win tag team gold for the first time in their careers. It was announced that Bray Wyatt will face Roman Reigns at WWE Battleground on July 19. Seth Rollins d. Dean Ambrose in a WWE Title Ladder Match - It was a really long match at 35 minutes that saw Rollins work over Ambrose's leg for much of it and Ambrose kept on fighting back. There was a cool bionic elbow tribute by Ambrose for Dusty Rhodes at one point. Rollins was able to slow down Ambrose by burying him under a ladder and chairs outside the ring. It looked like Rollins might win when Ambrose came back again. They both had their hands on the WWE Title, then they came crashing down at the same time and Rollins ended up with the WWE Title in his possession, so he's still the WWE Champion. After the match, Triple H congratulated Rollins on his victory. Rollins did a short promo after his win: "I am the best this company has to offer and I'm the greatest WWE World Heavyweight Champion of all time." Those are some ominous words to say with Brock Lesnar set to return. WWE posted a video of Ambrose doing a promo after the show where he said that one day he's going to be the World Champion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXzia1fuiuQ There will be more analysis here on WhatCulture all throughout the day.
