WWE Network Airing July 4 Supercard Event From Japan

Owens vs. Balor, plus Brock Lesnar in action against Chris Jericho?

WWE is broadcasting the live event on July 4 that is taking place in Tokyo, Japan with a NXT Title match where Kevin Owens will defend the gold against Finn Balor. The supercard will also showcase the in-ring return of Brock Lesnar, who as reported was originally set to face Kofi Kingston but speculation is running rampant that he will now face Chris Jericho in a dream match. It's the first time WWE air what is essentially a house show on WWE Network.
The event will air at 6:30amET on Saturday July 4, which is 7:30pm Tokyo time when the event will start. There's no word on who the commentary team might be or if it would be produced like a Raw broadcast, but it's definitely a unique idea that shows how willing WWE is to try new things on their network. The announcement was made during this week's NXT broadcast via a one minute video by NXT GM talking about how they wanted NXT to be featured at the show, so that's why he came up with Owens vs. Balor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0axgLVlhEA8 There's a very good chance that Owens loses the NXT Title to Balor. Since Owens is going to be a full timer on WWE's main roster, they need to get the NXT Title off him soon. Since it's taking place in Japan, the crowd should love Balor since he made a huge name for himself as Prince Devitt is the last decade. He's beloved in Japan, which is why it's a great time to do a title change. Another big selling point is that Brock Lesnar will be wresting at the event. It was mentioned in the Wrestling Observer that the event wasn't sold out, but after they added Lesnar to it they were able to sell it out. He's scheduled to face Kofi Kingston, but there's a chance that could change too. https://twitter.com/IAmJericho/status/606299970229137408 Originally, Chris Jericho was scheduled to face Balor at this event. Jericho made a mention of it on Twitter saying his match with Balor will now be on July 3.
