WWE News: The Real Reason Randy Orton Missed Raw

Randy Orton missed this week's RAW with a legit collarbone injury, report Wrestling Observer. The injury stemmed from a recent clash with the Big Show and it was severe enough to keep him off television. The injury was not acknowledged on RAW. During the episode Triple H revealed a tweet of Orton on vacation as part of the storyline reason for his absence. Here's the update;

As far as the severity of the injury goes, a source within WWE noted the injury is not serious, and it's expected Orton will be returning to WWE TV on Raw next week in Cleveland.

Bg6yr8 WWE is very lucky that the injury is not serious. Collarbones can give wrestlers a lot of problems. In 2008, Orton suffered a fractured collarbone in a motorcycle accident that was diagnosed as a three month lay-off. Losing Orton this summer would've been bad news for WWE. With Daniel Bryan already out with a neck issue, another top star forced out of competition due to injury would've given Vince McMahon and the whole creative staff a big problem. For now, the Viper is scheduled to be on Raw next Monday. His eyes are on the WWE World Heavyweight championship, as he is scheduled to be in the Money in the Bank Title match on June 29th.
