WWE NXT Spoilers For Dec 23 Show

The show was taped prior to NXT TakeOver: London at the Wembley Arena.

WWE NXT TakeOver: London took place on Wednesday evening and was an incredibly successful show, inside the ring and out. Featuring five matches in front of one of the largest crowds the brand has drawn, the show closed with an outstanding match between NXT Champion Finn Balor and Samoa Joe. Prior to TakeOver, WWE rolled their cameras to tape matches for next week's episode of WWE NXT on the WWE Network. The show was highlighted by the television return to the ring of Sami Zayn (he's been working house shows on the U.K. tour). All in all, three matches were taped for next week's broadcast. The first match featured a four-way tag team match with The Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder) vs. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable vs. The Vaudevillians vs. Blake and Murphy. According to a live report posted at F4WOnline, Jordan and Gable's ovation from the U.K. crowd was among the loudest of the night. Jordan and Gable won the bout to the delight of the crowd. In the second match, Elias Sampson took on Bull Dempsey. Sampson won a very brief match that was said to be pretty bland and boring for the crowd, with some derogatory chants directed at the wrestlers throughout. In the final match, announced to the crowd as a special bonus match, Sami Zayn made his return to take on Tye Dillinger. Lots of chants throughout the match, which finished with Zayn getting the victory. Sami got on the microphone after the match and thanked the crowd. He spoke about going through tough times in his career every time something good has happened, but he said that trend is going to end now. Every time that Zayn mentioned the other towns that NXT has been in over the course of the U.K. tour, the crowd boo'ed. Zayn comically asked the crowd if boo'ing other towns is a U.K. thing. Finally, Zayn ended his promo saying big things are ahead for him and NXT in 2016.
