WWE Poll: Should The Dudley Boyz Return In 2015?

A legendary tag team is available for the first time in a decade.

The WWE Tag Team division is in an interesting spot right now. With teams like The New Day and Cesaro/Tyson Kidd at the top of the division, they have a great feud that can produce numerous awesome matches. They're also building some depth with The Prime Time Players, Lucha Dragons, The Ascension, Los Matadores and Luke Harper reuniting with partner Erick Rowan. Don't forget about The Usos, who are currently out of the mix due to Jey's shoulder injury, but they should be ready to go later in the year. What the Tag Team division needs more than anything right now is a veteran tag team that has a lot of credibility and can generate a big reaction from the crowd. The team that fits perfectly are Bubba Ray and Devon aka The Dudley Boys or Dudley Boyz if you want WWE trademark spelling. They are one of the best tag teams in wrestling history that made their names in ECW in the late 1990s and then became a force in WWE until they left in 2005. Their feuds with teams like the Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian are legendary. When they left WWE they went to TNA where they dominated there for many years while Bubba became Bully Ray, who became a TNA World Champion. They also worked in Japan quite a bit and a had lot of success there too. They've won tag team gold everywhere they've been and are truly one of the best teams ever. One of the best moments during this year's Royal Rumble match was when Bubba Ray Dudley entered at #3 and eliminated two guys in about six minutes of action. It was a shame that WWE didn't bring in Devon Dudley as well so they could do some of their trademark spots during the match. Bubba did great and the crowd absolutely loved seeing him. When you hear a crowd react like that it makes you remember why you love the business. It also showed that the fans didn't forget about these guys. This past week, Bully Ray returned to TNA to be the special referee in a World Title match between Kurt Angle and Eric Young. After it was over, he said he had fun there, but he's not under contract and it was just a one time thing. If you follow Bubba and Devon on Twitter then you can see how great they are at interacting with fans. Bubba must get a lot of questions about going back to WWE and he's honest in saying that he would love to be there. Meanwhile, Devon recently got to wrestle in a tag match with his twin sons, which was likely one of the best moments of his career. They are at a point in their careers where they can pick and choose where they want to work, but the best place for them would be one more run in WWE. If WWE can utilize an older team like the New Age Outlaws, then why not the Dudleys too? They're in their early 40s, they still have great matches everywhere they go and the crowd loves them. You hear those tables chants at WWE events when matches allow weapons? Well, those chants would be louder if the Dudley Boys were around. It would be beneficial for WWE to bring back the Dudley Boys for another year. Not only would the fans love to see it, but it would help the tag team division. They have the kind of credibility that no other active team does. Their chemistry is unparallelled. They've won gold everywhere and seeing them go back home to WWE would be the spark the division needs. If they were to win the tag titles one more time too that would be cool, but it doesn't have to be a title run. Just their presence would be enough. What do you think? Should WWE bring the Dudley Boys back? This writer thinks they should. It's a no brainer. Also, follow Bubba on Twitter @REALBully5150 and Devon at @TestifyDevon to let them know what you think as well. Get those tables ready.
