WWE Poll: Who Will Become Next Intercontinental Champion At Elimination Chamber?

The vacant IC Tile is on the line Sunday at Elimination Chamber.

This Sunday night at the Elimination Chamber event, history will be made because the coveted Intercontinental Title will be on the line inside the Elimination Chamber for the first time. The IC Title was vacated by Daniel Bryan earlier this month due to injury, so WWE announced that six men would participate in a brutal Elimination Chamber match to determine the winner. Here's a closer look at the six men in the match as well as a potential wildcard followed by a poll where you can pick who you think will be the winner. Sheamus - The redheaded Celtic Warrior is one of the favorites in the match because he's held every singles title in WWE except for the Intercontinental Title. WWE brought him back post WrestleMania as a dominant heel and in order to get him on the right track he might need some gold. Winning the Intercontinental Title makes a lot of sense for him. Dolph Ziggler - He's a four time IC Champion, so he's been there before. When WWE put the title on Daniel Bryan the idea was they wanted one of the best in-ring performers to hold the title and have outstanding matches. Ziggler has shown that he's one of the best in-ring performers in WWE, so if they want to have the IC Champ out there having the best matches then he's a good choice. Ziggler also has a new feud with Rusev although Rusev may be out of this match. King Barrett - After winning King of the Ring about a month ago, Barrett was supposed to have a lot of momentum. Instead of winning matches, he actually loses way more often than he should. It could be WWE's way of making him look like a loser that finds a way to win big matches like this one. He's a five time IC Champion, so it wouldn't be a surprise if WWE chose him to hold the gold again. Ryback - The story with Ryback would be easy to tell because he hasn't held any titles during his career on the main WWE roster. He would be a safe choice to be the winner because the crowd likes him a lot and he's locked in as a midcarder. It makes sense to give him a run as a champion after being in the company for over a decade. R-Truth - When Truth was added to the match it confused people just like when he was in the IC Title match at WrestleMania. He's a lower midcarder that gets a good reaction from the crowd because he's a babyface that's been around a long time, but it's not like people are ever going to take him that seriously in a match like this. He has the least chance of winning. Rusev - His status is questionable due to the legit ankle injury he suffered on Tuesday at Smackdown. His feud with Ziggler is really the only true storyline in the match, so if he's able to compete it wouldn't be a surprise for them to do something significant in the match. Bray Wyatt - Here's the wildcard because if Rusev can't compete in the match then Wyatt is likely going to be the replacement. Since Wyatt has nothing else to do at the event it makes sense to insert him in the match as a mid-carder with a lot of credibility. Who do you think is going to win? Vote in our poll and discuss it in the comments below.
