WWE Raw Mexico City Spoilers 17/10/11 - Ross vs Cole

Main event was John Cena & Jim Ross vs. Alberto Del Rio & Michael Cole. Just what Mexican fans would have loved as long awaited live Raw main event!

This week's WWE Raw comes from Mexico City but is actually a taped show that went ahead last night. Here's the full report we have; John Laurinaitis kicked off the show with an interview, talking about the firing of Jim Ross. Apparently the situation is that because an incredible amount of viewers switched off last week after the firing segment that they want to capitalise and make it an angle. Incredibly, for the first main event at Raw live in Mexico, it was announced that John Cena & Jim Ross vs. Alberto Del Rio & Michael Cole would be the main event! Yes Cole vs. Ross in the main event before WWE Vengeance. WCW may have died ten years ago but far too much of it's legacy lives on in current WWE booking. 1) Mark Henry & Christian & Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton & Sheamus & John Morrison Post-match Orton vs. Rhodes brawl and also Christian vs. Sheamus. Orton vs. Rhodes was quickly announced for the Vengeance PPV but Christian vs. Sheamus wasn't but almost certainly is a match. 2) Eve Torres defeated Natalya Because of that she gets a match with Divas champion Beth Phoenix at Vengeance. I can't confirm whether this is a title match at this stage. 3) CM Punk defeated The Miz Triple H was banned from ringside. Post-match Miz & R-Truth beat down on Punk. Another Vengeance match announced - Air Boom defend WWE Tag Team Titles against Swagger & Ziggler 4) Zack Ryder defeated Jack Swagger. Post-match beat down from Ziggler & Swagger on Ryder and then the monster Mason Ryan made the save. I guess he got bored lifting weights backstage. 5) Dolph Ziggler defeated Mason Ryan via DQ (it's the finish where Ryan didn€™t break his illegal move at the count of five) Sin Cara Azul vs. Sin Cara Negro was announced in a mask vs. mask encounter for Smackdown. Surprisingly, in yet another daft decision that further botches this hideous feud, the Mexicans weren't granted the mic to give any kind of promo for the live crowd. 6) John Cena & Jim Ross defeated Alberto Del Rio & Michael Cole. Ross' team won when he used the ankle lock on Cole and he tapped out. So at least Cole has some kind of revenge or victory or something. WWE Vengeance PPV main event between John Cena and Alberto Del Rio was then announced as a Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Title. Great, that will add about 6 buys to the final number. Thursday's edition of WWE Smackdown will be recorded tonight and we will have the report up for tomorrow morning.
