WWE may have struggled to attract physical bodies to either of their shows in Washington over the weekend, drawing an embarrassingly paltry crowd to Stomping Grounds and an even more miserable turnout for Raw, but they did at least manage to convince more armchair fans to tune in this week.

The post pay-per-view fallout show, which featured AJ Styles taking on newly crowned US champ Ricochet, drew an average 2.275 million viewers, a very slight improvement on last week's 2.235 million. As ever, the number declined by the third hour, in spite of the mouth-watering non-title match headlining the episode. However, the drop was 'only' by 11% this week which, given the recent trend, represents an improvement.

Nevertheless, despite the slight increase, the viewership is still relatively disappointing coming off the back of a pay-per-view. Then again, it's no secret that interest for Stomping Grounds was probably the lowest as for any major WWE show in recent memory.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
