WWE Raw Results 17/9/12 - CM Punk Screwed By Referee

Last night's WWE Raw results from the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Michael Cole is the only commentator at the moment. We go to the ring and Paul Heyman comes out with CM Punk's music playing. Heyman talks about the history that was witnessed at Night of Champions on Sunday as CM Punk successfully defended his WWE Title against John Cena. The crowd boos Heyman as he admits the finish was controversial and says everyone is talking about it. Heyman calls out referee Chad Patton to the ring and out he does. Heyman shows an image on the big screen of Cena pinning Punk with the bridge. Patton agrees that he made the right call last night. Heyman says he and Punk commend the referee for making the right decision. Heyman says a fan uploaded footage to YouTube of the pinfall but Cena enforced it to removed earlier today. Heyman airs the footage taken from a mobile phone of Cena pinning Punk. Heyman starts talking about Punk when John Cena's music plays and out he comes. He tells Heyman to shut up. He says he agreed with Patton's decision. The crowd chants Cena sucks. Cena says last night's battle was epic last night and that his ankle is taped tonight because it's as big as a football. Cena says he wants a rematch tonight. Heyman says Punk would love to respond to Cena's face but the WWE Champion is not here yet tonight. Heyman says he is the voice of the voiceless, so he can answer for punk. They are interrupted by Alberto Del Rio's music and he comes out with Ricardo Rodriguez to the stage. Del Rio tells Cena to quit crying and he talks about the Brogue Kick being re-instated right before his title match last night. Del Rio enters the ring and says if anyone deserves a rematch, it's him. AJ Lee's music plays and out comes the WWE Raw General Manager. She says she has the idea to make a super main event tonight. CM Punk & Alberto Del Rio vs Sheamus and John Cena. AJ says the match will determine who gets the rematch. She skips away as Heyman follows her arguing. Michael Cole is shown wearing a "Long Live the King" t-shirt. Cole talks about what happened to Jerry Lawler last week and they show a Tout video from Lawler last week. Cole announces that Lawler is back home in Memphis. He says Lawler is watching tonight and we will have footage later of Lawler's return home. They will have an exclusive interview with Lawler on RAW next Monday night. Justin Roberts introduces John Bradshaw Layfield comes out the former WWE Champion. JBL joins Cole for commentary and Jim Ross is introduced next and becomes the third man on commentary. 1) Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara defeated Primo & Epico when Cara hit a splash on Epico from the top rope for the pinfall. After the match, Cara & Mysterio are celebrating but are attacked from behind by Titus O'Neil and Darren Young. They perform their finishers as the crowd boos. Titus takes the mic and says he's pissed at losing the #1 contendership last week. Titus says from now on they will do the talking. Young makes a mess of his promo and they walk off leaving Cara & Rey in the ring. 2) WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres defeated Beth Phoenix when Eve rolled Beth up out of nowhere. Eve Torres taunts Layla after the match as they get up in each other's face. 3) Brodus Clay defeated Heath Slater with a big splash. WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz introduces his new segment, MizTV. The ring is setup like a talk show segment with couches and some chairs. Miz compares the segment to Piper's Hit, The Highlight Reel and The Cutting Edge. He says Piper, Edge and Chris Jericho were never as charismatic or controversial as him. Miz introduces SmackDown General Manager Booker T to the ring. Miz says Booker T must be honoured to be his first guest and this must be the best moment of his career. Miz asks Booker why he's here to fight against him. The crowd chant for Booker T. Miz then asks why Booker T did what he did with the Brogue Kick. Miz says Booker T misses the spotlight. Miz says Booker's time is over as a "boring" chant breaks out. Booker says it's time for Miz to bring out new guest, someone who is used to beating up multiple competitors at once. The music hits and out comes Ryback to a decent reaction. Ryback stars tossing the couches around and destroys the MizTV set. Ryback's music hits and feed me more chants ring out. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross are at ringside talking about the Tout video with Lawler. Cole reminds us that Lawler is back home in Memphis and everyone says hello to him. Still to come footage later tonight of Lawler arriving home earlier today. CM Punk and Paul Heyman are backstage when Josh Matthews walks up. He asks if Punk is looking forward to teaming up with Del Rio. Punk calls Matthews an idiot and he is not looking forward to teaming up with anyone. Punk says after last night, what he does have to do is gain respect. 4) Dolph Ziggler defeats Santino Marella with the Zig Zag. Post-match, Santino gives Vickie Guerrero a cobra. 5) Wade Barrett defeated Justin Gabriel with a huge right arm for the win. Back from the break and Subway Jared is backstage with the former WWE Tag Team Champions R-Truth and Kofi Kingston. Jared gives them subs and one also for Little Jimmy. Damien Sandow comes in and he has an idea for a sandwich named after him. Jared gives him a Meatball Marinara instead. Zack Ryder comes in and proposes a WWWYKI sub. He gets an Italian BLT sub instead. Ryback says feed me more, and he leaves with two subs. 6) WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan & Kane defeated Kofi Kingston & R-Truth when Kane chokeslammed Truth and Bryan put him in the No Lock for the submission victory. Post-match, Daniel Bryan grabs both title belts and yells that he is is the Tag Team Champions. He gets in Kane's face and grabs both belts and yells that he's the Champions now. Bryan tells Kane the people want them to hug. They hug it out once again and Bryan snatches his belt back. They start yelling about who is the tag team champion. 7) Randy Orton defeated Tensai with the RKO. Heyman and Punk are talking again when David Otunga walks up with Alberto Del Rio. The say they want to follow Del Rio's lead tonight. Heyman says Punk follows no one's lead. Punk tells Del Rio that he is looking forward to teaming tonight. Del Rio says it will be an honour. 8) Damien Sandow defeated Zack Ryder with his Neckbreaker finisher for the pinfall. 9) John Cena & World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio & WWE Champion CM Punk. The finish came when Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Punk for the pin. After the match, Sheamus and John Cena embrace and leave. Punk and Heyman are arguing with the referee about the count as we go to replays which show Punk had his foot on the bottom rope but the referee missed the call. The referee tries to leave but Punk gets in his face. Punk follows the referee back to the back and yells about the botched decision as RAW goes off the air.
