WWE Raw Review: A Show That Was Better Than Wrestlemania

OPENING SEGMENT John Cena is DA CHAMP AGAIN! If you were expecting anything other than a typical €œI WENT UP AGAINST THE ROCK AND CAME OUT VICTORIOUS,€ you were mistaken. Granted, Cena did have some fun with the crowd. He manages to play with our emotions and give us false hope that he€™s going to turn heel or mix things up. I don€™t think a Cena heel turn would really matter at this point. I might actually write an article about that. The main point of the segment was that John Cena is willing to take on anyone and defend his title while doing it. Luckily, Mark Henry confronts Cena and says he will challenge him for the belt. Booker T comes out and says that Mark Henry can have a title shot if he beats Cena in a non-title match. I always hate that stipulation. If Cena just said he is willing to put the belt on the line, just let him and be done with it. There is no need for the hoops that have to jumped through. This is the first of many instances of the crowd getting loud. €œSexual Chocolate,€ €œSame Old ****,€ and €œBoring€ chants echoed throughout this segment. New Jersey is known to be a smarky crowd so this was no surprise. I do enjoy when a crowd lets the WWE know that they aren€™t enjoying a segment. The best way to let them know is to be vocal, which is what 90% of crowds fail to realize as they sit on their hands bored at events.
