WWE Raw Viewership Hits A New Low For 2017
The company's major ratings slump continues.
One week after WWE SmackDown posted a record low viewership for 2017 with just 2.175 million on May 16th, Raw has followed suit.
Headlined by a main event pitting Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins against Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt, the show drew just 2.615 million reviews - their lowest of the year thus far.
This figure is down from 2.751 million the week before, and marks the fourth straight week that Raw has averaged below 3 million viewers. The show's first hour drew 2.611 million, increasing to 2.759 million for the second, then dropping to 2.425 million during the third.
Raw finished fifth in overall cable viewership for the night, lagging behind the NBA Playoffs, Shepard Smith, Tucker Carlson, and Hannity. The show also sat at number five in the key 18-49 demographic, with the NBA Playoffs, Love & Hip-Hop, Street Outlaws, and Basketball Wives ahead of it.
Viewership has been on a steady decline since the night after WrestleMania 33, and while the NBA Playoffs provided stiff competition on Monday, this is an embarrassing figure for WWE, whose traditional post-Mania creative lull has extended to TV ratings.
