WWE Release 9 Superstars - McIntyre, Clay, Aksana & More

Jinder Mahal, Evan Bourne, Curt Hawkins, Camacho, Teddy Long and Yoshi Tatsu also released.

WWE.com have revealed that no less than NINE significant talent have today been released and no longer work for the company. Those names; Theodore Long, Evan Bourne, Drew McIntyre, Brodus Clay, Curt Hawkins, Yoshi Tatsu, Aksana, Jinder Mahal and Camacho. When WWE did their original post today there were only five names on it. They then added four more to it twenty minutes later and it now appears that they have settled on nine names plus a referee. Unless more names are to be announced, that's the end of a massive day of talent cutting that we haven't seen the WWE inact on in a while. Here's more details of those superstars cut.

9. Teddy Long

Teddy Long is 66 years old and spent most of his time as the GM of Smackdown where he was known for making a lot of tag matches. It became a running joke as fans online called him "Tag Match Teddy" because there would always be conflict in the ring that he would resolve by booking a tag match. He started in the wrestling business in 1985 and went to WWE in 1998 where he worked as a referee as well as a manager before settling in as a GM. It wouldn't be a surprise if he ended up in WWE's Hall of Fame one day.
