WWE Release Details On The Mae Young Classic 'Parade Of Champions'
32 tournament entrants will be revealed this Thursday...
WWE have announced they will unveil the full list of 32 women scheduled to compete in the Mae Young Classic Tournament via Facebook and YouTube this coming Thursday.
Names such as Toni Storm, Jazzy Gabert, Rhea Ripley and Princesa Sugehit will be included, but there's bad news for Welsh starlet Nixon Newell. Squared Circle Sirens are reporting the former WCPW Women's Champion is currently on the shelf nursing an ACL knee injury, which means the 22-year old will miss the tournament altogether.
Undergoing surgery towards the end of June, Newell won't heal in time to take her place in the brackets, so it'll be interesting to see who replaces her on Thursday.
Dubbed the 'Parade Of Champions', the special event begins at 6:30pm ET/3:30pm PT (10.30pm UK time) at Facebook.com/WWE or on the promotion's official YouTube channel. After the parade ends, WWE will then tape episodes of the Mae Young Classic on Thursday and Friday at NXT's home of Full Sail University.
The Mae Young Classic will start airing via the WWE Network on August 28, and the first 4 episodes will be available on demand immediately.
