WWE Royal Rumble 2012 Adds World Title Triple Threat Steel Cage Match

It'll be Daniel Bryan defending his title against The Big Show and Mark Henry in a Triple Threat Steel Cage Match.

Daniel Bryan defending his title against The Big Show and Mark Henry in a Triple Threat Steel Cage Match. For storyline purposes the match of course makes a great deal of sense because for weeks Daniel Bryan has taken the DQ/No Contest way out of his title matches, retaining his title without pinfalls. So booking a Steel Cage Match where a pinfall (or escaping the cage?) will be needed against the two opponents he keeps getting one over on should make for a good match psychology wise. Especially as if they do go for escaping the cage route for victory, Big Show and Mark Henry would be unable to match Bryan's speed and ability and they would struggle to win that way. Interestingly the Steel Cage World Title match has been booked despite reports of Big Show suffering a back injury in the dark match at Tuesday night's SmackDown tapings and with Mark Henry still hurting from his groin problem. Also announced for the pay-per-view are a WWE Title match between CM Punk (c) and Dolph Ziggler with John Laurinaitis booked as the special guest referee and a Kane vs John Cena match, as well as the 30-man Royal Rumble match. Expect a WWE Divas Match, possibly Beth Phoenix vs. Alicia Fox and maybe one more other match, maybe The Miz vs. R-Truth or a WWE Tag Team Titles Match.
